The Sarfoa Foundation Pays Courtesy Visit To Senior Correctional Center, Ridge

The Sarfoa Foundation has once again paid a courtesy visit to the Senior Correctional Centre after playing a vital role in the refurbishment of the Information Technology (IT) Laboratory at the centre in 2022. This is a step to strengthen its relationship with management and assess the impact of the foundations's support to the facility. 

The visit sought to evaluate the current condition of the refurbished IT laboratory since it was commissioned in 2022 and to tighten up the philanthropic relationship.

Led by Mrs. Benedicta Sarfoa Boahene, Founder and Executive Director of The Sarfoa Foundation, the delegation engaged with the management of SCC to acquaint itself with the Centre's current needs and ongoing rehabilitation programmes.

The enhancement of the facility was made possible through the support of Coral Reef, which also facilitated ICT and Robotics training for both officers and inmates. Rocksters Roofing Systems fully sponsored the roofing works on the building that houses the IT laboratory.

The delegation was received by the Officer-in-Charge of SCC, DDP Yayra Ashong-Mettle, and the Second-in-Command, ADP Daniel Eghan. They toured the IT laboratory, where Mrs. Sarfoa Boahene expressed delight at how well the facility had been maintained and efficiently utilised since its refurbishment in 2022.

The Sarfoa Foundation commended the Officer-in-Charge and staff of the Centre for their dedication and tireless efforts in advancing inmate rehabilitation and reintegration.
