Phase 2 of the Suame Interchange Project has reached 87% completion, with plans to officially open the section to motorists by late October.
The update was delivered this afternoon by the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Agbodza, during a site inspection as part of his working tour of the Ashanti Region.
Once fully opened, Phase 2 will immediately ease traffic congestion across the local network and clear the path for full-scale development on Phase 1.
The upcoming Phase 1 works will focus on constructing a primary three-tier interchange at Suame, two additional overpasses at the Abrepo and Krofrom junctions, and the widening of the Eastern and Western Bypass roads.
