South Tongu Assembly Members Gain New Momentum After Local Governance Workshop

1 min read

Assembly Members across the South Tongu District have pledged to strengthen grassroots development after participating in a two-day Next Generation Leadership Training workshop at the District Assembly Hall in Sogakope. Organized jointly by the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development Ghana, the Institute of Local Government Studies, and the South Tongu District Assembly, the national program ended on Tuesday with an emphasis on improving local representation and implementing policies effectively.

Hon. Gattor Daniel-Kwasi, Assembly Member for the Fievie-Dugame Electoral Area, highlighted how the training equips local leaders to address community concerns more efficiently.

"This training has recharged our approach to community representation and governance," Hon. Gattor remarked. "The insights gained over these two days give us a clearer roadmap for enacting effective local policies, engaging our electorates, and ensuring that development projects in Fievie-Dugame and across South Tongu are executed efficiently and transparently."

Following the completion of the program, Assembly Members are set to apply these updated leadership techniques to their committee duties and routine engagements within their electoral areas.
