Work has officially commenced on Phase One of the Sogakope Sports Stadium, marked by initial site clearing and the local molding of concrete blocks for the perimeter fence.
Hon. Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, Member of Parliament for South Tongu, conducted a site inspection on August 17 to review early progress and express gratitude to local volunteers engaged in communal labor. Commending their dedication, the MP highlighted that the community’s active involvement demonstrates the powerful impact of collective action and shared ownership.
With site preparation underway and materials being actively mobilized, full-scale construction is set to follow. Once completed, the modern stadium is poised to upgrade local sports infrastructure, unlock new opportunities for youth, and serve as a vibrant community hub for Sogakope and surrounding areas.
