President Embarks on Two-Day ResettingGhana Tour of Volta Region with Packed Development Agenda

The President of the Republic of Ghana is set to visit the Volta Region this week as part of the #ResettingGhana Tour, with a detailed itinerary focused on infrastructure, education, health, and citizen engagement. Scheduled for Thursday, 16th July 2026 and Friday, 17th July 2026, the tour will highlight key government interventions aimed at accelerating development across the region.

On Thursday, 16th July, the President will commence activities at 10:00 am with the sod-cutting ceremony for a 24-hour Economy Market at Juapong. This will be followed by the inspection of a new 1,500-capacity multipurpose assembly hall at the Peki College of Education at 12 noon. In the afternoon, the President will inspect ongoing road projects including the Asikuma to Anyirawase Road and the UHAS by-pass to Anyirawase-Ho Road, before proceeding to the UHAS Sokode Campus for an inspection of the multi-purpose laboratory project.

The day’s programme will culminate in a Free Primary Health Care programme durbar at the Ho Municipal Hospital at 3:00 pm, demonstrating the government’s commitment to accessible healthcare delivery. Activities for Day One are expected to end at 4:30 pm.

On Friday, 17th July, the tour continues with an inspection of the Ho Sports Stadium at 10:00 am, followed by a major #ResettingGhana Citizens Engagement with the President at the Ho Technical University at 11:00 am. Later in the afternoon, the President will inaugurate the Akatsi North District Police Headquarters at Ave Dakpa at 3:30 pm and conclude with an inspection of the Ho to Denu Road.

This two-day working visit underscores the government’s resolve to deliver tangible development projects while maintaining direct engagement with citizens in the Volta Region.
