In a joint operation with the National Signals Bureau (NSB), the Ghana Police Service has taken 35-year-old Masud Abdullah into custody after a video surfaced showing him inciting violence against anyone who speaks disrespectfully of Prophet Mohammed.
Investigators report that Abdullah, an Imam, made the inflammatory remarks during a sermon at a local mosque in Ntensere, situated within the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region.
In a separate action, the Cyber Vetting and Enforcement Team apprehended Daniel Junior Yaw Adjei, also known as Apostle Daniel JY Adjei, following a video broadcast in which he used offensive and disparaging language against Prophet Mohammed.
Law enforcement authorities emphasized that such inciteful rhetoric violates national laws and warned that anyone making similar declarations will be arrested and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
