Odo Broni Honors Daddy Lumba’s 62nd Birthday with GHC 63,000 Donation to Korle Bu Child Health Department

Priscilla Ofori, popularly known as Odo Broni, has commemorated what would have been the 62nd birthday of late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosu, affectionately known as Daddy Lumba, with a significant charitable donation. Marking the occasion on September 29, Odo Broni visited the Child Health Department at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) to present approximately GH¢63,000 in direct cash support to families facing critical medical challenges.

​While the gesture was originally aimed at supporting newborns sharing Daddy Lumba’s birthday, the initiative was expanded upon witnessing the pressing financial needs of critically ill young patients. Direct cash assistance distributed in envelopes was provided to selected families across the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and the Child Health Daycare Oncology Unit, tailored specifically to each patient's individual treatment needs.

​The donation was formally received on behalf of the facility by Mr. Benjamin Nkansah, Administrator of the Child Health Department, alongside Chief Nursing Officer Evelyn Kumah. The hospital management expressed deep gratitude to Odo Broni for honoring the legacy of the celebrated musician through a vital intervention that provides immediate relief to children and families navigating difficult healthcare journeys.
