The Minister for the Interior, Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has officially commissioned a new fleet of vehicles and specialized operational equipment for the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS). The handover ceremony, held on Friday at the GNFS Headquarters in Accra, forms part of the Automated Fire Compliance and Safety System (AFCASS) initiative aimed at enhancing fire safety enforcement and incident management across the country.
Addressing officers and dignitaries at the event, Hon. Muntaka highlighted the commissioning as a crucial milestone in the nation's safety agenda. He emphasized that the provision of modern tools reflects the government's steadfast commitment to equipping first responders with the resources needed to protect lives, property, and public infrastructure.
