NDC-USA Delegation Meets Speaker Bagbin and Parliamentary Leadership over National Concerns

​A delegation from the NDC-USA chapters representing Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., led by Mr. MJ Lawal, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban S. K. Bagbin. The meeting, which also included key lawmakers led by Hon. Kwesi Bedzra and Majority Chief Whip Hon. Nelson Etse Dafeamekpor, focused on critical national issues currently affecting Ghana.

​During the discussion, Rt. Hon. Speaker Bagbin outlined the various legislative initiatives Parliament is pursuing to enhance the welfare and standard of living of citizens. Drawing on his deep experience with Ghana’s economic landscape, the Speaker highlighted industrial growth and job creation as central priorities for addressing the nation's key challenges.

​Adding to the discussions, Volta Regional Minister Hon. James Gunu presented an overview of key development projects initiated under President John Dramani Mahama’s administration throughout the region. He detailed ongoing programs and upcoming initiatives, reassuring stakeholders that the Volta Region remains a core priority within the government’s broader economic reset and development strategy.
