A delegation from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Volta Regional Communications Team recently completed a monitoring tour of 17 key development projects across the South Tongu Constituency.
Led by Regional Communications Officer Kafui Agbleze and Deputy Communications Officer Del Bright Kugbeadzor, the regional executives joined forces with the local constituency communications team to evaluate state-sponsored initiatives initiated under the John Mahama administration.
The comprehensive review covered infrastructure spread across five key sectors:
Education (11 Projects): Inspection of fully completed classroom blocks in communities including Atsieve, Hlevi, and Aglorkpovia, along with active GETFund and DACF construction works at St. Catherine SHS, COMBOTEC, DASTEC, and neighboring schools.
Health (3 Projects): Assessment of the Free Primary Healthcare Post serving the Sogakope Market, alongside CHPS Compounds designed to expand local care in Agorgboe and the joint Lolito/Nyinuto area.
Digital Technology (1 Project): Monitoring of the 1 Million Coders Project training center established at Agorkpo.
Roads (1 Project): On-site progress check along the Bekpo-Gonu-Sukladzi-Salo road corridor.
Market Infrastructure (1 Project): Status review of the 24-Hour Economy Market initiative situated at Dabala.
Delegates observed that several finished facilities are already operational and benefiting local residents, while the remaining projects continue to advance through different construction phases.
The Regional Communications Secretariat reaffirmed its commitment to conducting regular field assessments to accurately track development outcomes and keep the public informed on state-backed interventions throughout the Volta Region.
