NAWA Delegation Visits Naval Training Command to Strengthen Family and Military Ties

Members of the Naval Wives Association (NAWA) paid a working visit to the Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC) at Nutekpor on Saturday, 15 August 2026.

​Led by Mrs. Theodora Adomako Adjei, representative of the NAWA President, the delegation began their stay by paying a courtesy call on the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) NAVTRAC, Commodore James Adongo Agambire, to outline the purpose of their visit.

​Welcoming the delegation to the Command, Commodore Agambire expressed gratitude for the initiative. He highlighted the vital role NAWA plays in safeguarding the welfare and overall well-being of naval families, while urging the association to maintain its support for programs that foster togetherness, camaraderie, and mutual aid within the naval community.

​As part of the day's activities, NAWA members toured selected training facilities across the Command. During the tour, officials briefed them on the operational mandates of the various schools and units under NAVTRAC. The delegation also inspected modern training infrastructure including state-of-the-art simulation equipment interacted with instructors on military professionalism and training standards, and took part in a guided boat ride.

​This visit reflects NAWA's ongoing commitment to deepening ties with Ghana Navy units and formations while advancing welfare, unity, and shared support for naval families.
