Multiple Road Crashes in Volta Claim Six Lives, GNFS Rescues 34

Six people lost their lives and 34 others were rescued following multiple road traffic accidents in the Volta Region on Sunday, June 21, 2026. The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded rapidly to incidents along the Peki–Kpeve Road and other stretches. Emergency teams from Peki Station provided immediate aid.

The crashes involved various vehicles and occurred in quick succession, overwhelming initial responders. GNFS personnel worked tirelessly to extricate victims and transport the injured to hospitals.
