Mahama Pledges Completion of 30 Abandoned E-Block Schools

President of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has revealed plans to finish 30 halted E-block school developments across Ghana.

​Addressing a public gathering at Paga in the Upper East Region on August 13, President Mahama emphasized that funds have been allocated in the 2026 national budget to revive and complete these stalled initiatives. He argued that allowing state-funded developments to stall is an irresponsible use of public resources.

"Leaving any project where public money has already been invested unfinished is simply a waste of taxpayers' money," the President stated.

Highlighting the practical impact of completing these facilities, Mahama referenced the host school in Paga, where students previously struggled under harsh learning conditions. He noted that with the facility now fully constructed, students can enjoy an improved, well-equipped educational environment.

​To ensure the newly completed schools become fully functional without delay, President Mahama has instructed the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) to expedite the delivery of essential furniture and operational equipment.
