Presented on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the hospital’s Main Administration, the package is designed to alleviate daily challenges faced by both adult and pediatric cancer patients enduring long-term care.

The donation comprised key provisions, including nine cartons of bottled water (36 packs), two packs of toilet rolls, two packs of jumbo paper towels, four bags of rice (two 5kg and two 2kg), two boxes of Milo, two boxes of Vitamilk, two 25-liter jerrycans of cooking oil, a sack of corn, a sack of beans, and two boxes of sachet milk.

Speaking at the event, LACOLAS President Dr. Surv. Mrs. Theodora Mends reiterated the group's determination to assist vulnerable individuals and aid in their recovery process. She was accompanied by LACOLAS Treasurer Mrs. Ruby Kemeh, Secretary Mrs. Ruth Mawunyo Asuo, and other executive officers.

Prof. Mrs. Jane Sandra Afriyie-Mensah, Head of the Haematology Department, along with Deputy Chief Nursing Officer (DCNO) Mrs. Aimee Degbotse, received the items on behalf of KBTH.
