On Thursday, 20th August 2026, the Member of Parliament for Keta, Hon. Dzudzorli Gakpey, accompanied a delegation from the Keta Municipal Hospital on an official visit to the Indian High Commission. The team was warmly received by the Indian High Commissioner to Ghana, H.E. Surinder Bhagat.
A central topic of discussion was the revival of the enduring collaboration between India and the Keta Municipal Hospital. The meeting highlighted plans to modernise and re-equip the hospital's Narasimha Rao Eye Clinic as part of the preparations leading up to the institution’s Centenary Anniversary in October 2026.
Beyond healthcare infrastructure, the dialogue extended into key areas of mutual cooperation.
Hon. Dzudzorli Gakpey expressed sincere gratitude to H.E. Surinder Bhagat for his encouraging response and his willingness to explore support for these critical initiatives, which includes plans for an upcoming visit to Keta Municipality.
