IGP Promotes Four Personnel After Major Robbery Syndicate Busted in Wa

​Four Ghana Police Service officers have earned rank promotions for their exceptional role in crippling an armed robbery gang operating in the Upper West Region.

​The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, conferred the promotions on General Corporal Mortsi Kwashie Divine, Detective Corporal Salifu Ishmael Aketisiwin, General Lance Corporal Ernest Ameyaw Akumfi, and General Lance Corporal John Bekaar Vitus.

​The promotions follow a precision operation by the Upper West Regional Police Command that resulted in the arrest of six suspects responsible for a wave of robberies across Wa Municipality and the Wa West District.

​The IGP and the Police Management Board praised the officers' outstanding bravery, encouraging personnel across the country to maintain unwavering commitment to public safety.
