Member of Parliament for Ho West, Hon. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, this morning opened a five-day Free Medical Outreach Programme at the Awudome-Tsito Health Centre. He was joined by Volta Regional Minister Hon. James Gunu for the official launch.
The programme has brought together more than 170 volunteer medical specialists from the United States and Canada. These experts are delivering free specialised healthcare services to over 15,000 people in Ho West and surrounding communities.
Hon. Gunu commended Hon. Bedzrah and the international medical team for the life-changing initiative, praising their commitment to improving access to quality healthcare for residents.
As part of the event, Hon. Bedzrah officially dedicated and handed over two newly procured ambulances to the National Ambulance Service. The Regional Minister witnessed the ceremony.
The donation marks a significant boost to emergency healthcare delivery in the district, strengthening the capacity of the National Ambulance Service to respond swiftly to medical emergencies.
