Hon. Dzifa Tegah Commissions 10 Boreholes to Resolve Water Crisis in Vume Traditional Area

On August 24, 2026, the NDC National Deputy Women’s Organizer, Hon. Dzifa Tegah's IMPALA Foundation, officially commissioned 10 fully constructed boreholes in the Vume Traditional Area, located within the South Tongu Constituency. The intervention aims to address the longstanding potable water shortage affecting the local communities.

​The project was initiated following a formal petition from the chiefs and people of the Vume Traditional Area. Responding to the urgent appeal, Hon. Tegah prioritized the request and funded the construction of the 10 boreholes to ensure equitable water access across the area's communities.

​For years, several communities in South Tongu have struggled with access to clean drinking water, leading to public frustration over community development. The commissioning of these water facilities represents a step toward addressing these basic infrastructure needs.

​The handover ceremony was attended by the Member of Parliament for South Tongu, Hon. Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, alongside traditional leaders, local chiefs, and residents of the Vume Traditional Area, who expressed appreciation for the completed project.
