Hohoe MP, Hon. Thomas Worlanyo Tsekpo, has voiced strong frustration over the sluggish progress on a major road project in his constituency. Speaking out after repeated complaints, the lawmaker accused Greenhouse International Development (GH) Ltd. of deliberately slowing down work.
According to the MP, the contractor’s tactics have become obvious to residents and officials alike. “I have complained several times. Anytime they see you coming, they quickly pour water on the road,” Tsekpo revealed, suggesting the company is only making superficial efforts to create the appearance of activity when inspections are imminent.
The MP further alleged that Greenhouse International Development appears more focused on constructing a shopping mall in Hohoe than fulfilling its obligations on the road contract. This perceived shift in priorities has raised concerns among constituents who rely on improved road infrastructure for daily commuting, trade, and economic activities.
The revelations have intensified calls for accountability and swift intervention by relevant authorities to ensure the road project is completed without further delays. Residents of Hohoe and surrounding areas continue to endure poor road conditions while awaiting meaningful progress from the contractor.
