The Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Hon. Edem Kpotosu, has donated twenty (20) bags of cement to the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Volta Region, as part of efforts to complete the ongoing Phase Two of the Press Centre Project.
The donation was presented to the Association on Tuesday. It is expected to significantly aid construction works and help deliver a modern, functional workspace for journalists in the Volta Region.
Receiving the items on behalf of the GJA Volta, the Regional Chairman, Dr. Harrison Belley, expressed deep appreciation for the MP’s generosity.
“This gesture demonstrates Hon. Kpotosu’s commitment to promoting media development and strengthening journalism in the region,” Dr. Belley said.
He added that the cement donation would accelerate progress on the project and urged corporate organisations, public institutions, development partners, and individuals to emulate the MP’s example by contributing to the initiative.
“The Press Centre is a collective investment that will enhance the work of journalists and contribute to democratic governance, access to information, and professional media practice in the Volta Region,” Dr. Belley noted.
The GJA Volta Secretariat reaffirmed its dedication to ensuring the successful completion of the Press Centre and welcomed further support from all stakeholders.
