The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ho Central, Hon. Divine Bosson, has announced plans to construct a dedicated nurses’ quarters for the people of Hoe to improve local healthcare delivery. The announcement came during the historic outdooring and Grand Durbar of Togbe Sesinu VI, the Paramount Chief and President of the Hoe Traditional Council. Addressing the chiefs and people gathered for the momentous occasion, the MCE reaffirmed the local assembly's commitment to prioritizing health infrastructure, ensuring that healthcare workers posted to the community have decent, secure, and comfortable accommodation.
Hon. Bosson highlighted that healthcare provision in rural and traditional communities often suffers when essential staff lack suitable housing, which hinders response times and long-term retention. By constructing modern residential quarters, the municipal assembly aims to attract and retain qualified medical personnel, thereby raising the standard of care available at the community clinic. He emphasized that accessible quality healthcare remains a cornerstone of the municipality’s development agenda and promised that execution steps would commence swiftly to bring the project to fruition.
The grand event was marked by vibrant traditional displays, drumming, and rich cultural pageantry as the people of Hoe formally celebrated the enstoolment and vision of Togbe Sesinu VI. In his maiden address, the Paramount Chief expressed deep gratitude for the assembly’s support and outlined his vision for the growth, unity, and development of the Hoe Traditional Area. Community members and elders met the MCE’s announcement with enthusiastic applause, noting that a dedicated residence for health workers will alleviate long-standing operational challenges faced by the local health center.
The promised nurses’ quarters is expected to significantly improve primary healthcare delivery for Hoe and its surrounding settlements. Local leaders expressed optimism about the partnership between the traditional council and the Ho Municipal Assembly, viewing the project as a critical stepping stone toward sustainable social development under the leadership of Togbe Sesinu VI.
