A high-powered delegation from the National Headquarters of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has paid a official visit to Station Officer II (StnO II) James Atuahene in Koforidua following injuries he sustained while battling a recent blaze. The visit was undertaken on behalf of the Chief Fire Officer, Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong, to monitor the officer's condition and express the administration's solidarity during his recovery.
The delegation was led by the Acting Director of Health Services, Assistant Chief Fire Officer II (ACFO II) Mary Blankson, accompanied by the Eastern Regional Fire Officer Second-in-Command (2IC), Divisional Officer I (DOI) George Korda, alongside other senior command staff. The leadership team spent time with StnO II Atuahene to assess his progress firsthand and ensure he is receiving the necessary medical attention required for a full recovery.
During the visit, the delegation formally conveyed the well wishes and personal support of Chief Fire Officer Daniella Mawusi Ntow Sarpong. To ease the burden of treatment, the team presented financial assistance directly toward the officer's ongoing medical expenses and care, ensuring that his health and rehabilitation remain the top priority.
The gesture underscores the Ghana National Fire Service’s steadfast dedication to prioritizing the safety and general welfare of its frontline personnel. Command representatives reiterated that the Service remains fully resolute in backing firefighters who put their lives on the line to safeguard life and property across the country.
