Firefighters from the Northern Regional Command Headquarters Sub-Station recently carried out a routine simulation exercise at the GOIL Regional Depot in Tamale.
Designed to evaluate the operational readiness of both the Regional Command and local GOIL personnel, the drills focused on rapid evacuation, tactical firefighting, and rescue procedures during a crisis.
Leading the exercise, Regional Operations Officer ADOI Ishawu urged workers to remain alert and respond immediately to emergency alarms and sirens on-site. Personnel were also advised on key workplace safety protocols and precautionary habits to ensure a swift, safe response to potential hazards.
