Ghana’s newly appointed head coach, Carlos Queiroz, has arrived in the country ahead of his official unveiling as manager of the senior national team, the Black Stars.

His arrival marks the beginning of a crucial phase in Ghana’s preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with expectations high following his recent appointment by the Ghana Football Association.

The experienced Portuguese tactician was named head coach earlier this month, bringing with him a wealth of international experience, having managed several national teams and participated in multiple World Cup tournaments.

Carlos Queiroz is expected to immediately engage with key stakeholders, including players and technical staff, as he begins shaping the team for the global competition.

His arrival comes at a critical time for the Black Stars, who are intensifying preparations ahead of the tournament to be hosted in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Following his unveiling, the new coach will oversee Ghana’s final build-up, including a few international friendly matches aimed at fine-tuning the squad.

Football fans across the country will be eager to see how Carlos Queiroz leverages his vast experience to guide Ghana to a strong performance on the world stage, with many hopeful that his leadership can inspire a renewed sense of confidence and competitiveness within the team.
