Lieutenant Colonel (Lt Col) Abraham Puoriyelle Dery, the General Headquarters (GHQ) Camp Commandant, officially commissioned a newly refurbished office for the Unit's Mechanical Transport (MT) section on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.
During the official handover, Lt Col Dery presented the keys to the MT Warrant Officer, Warrant Officer Class One (WOI) Benjamin Adjei Adjetey. The Commandant advised the section's personnel to maintain a strong culture of facility care to ensure the building remains in excellent condition over time.
In response, WOI Adjetey noted that the upgraded workplace will significantly improve record-keeping and bolster operational accountability. He recognized the initial groundwork laid by his predecessor, Senior Warrant Officer Class Two (SWOII) Awal Mohammed, and extended his gratitude to the Commandant for facilitating the project.
The commissioning ceremony was attended by key unit leadership, including Regimental Sergeant Major SWOII Manasseh Okrah, Company Sergeant Major WOI Alex Asare Anyan, along with soldiers and Defence Civilian Staff of the unit.
