The Republic of Ghana lead by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and a Delegation from the Netherlands have signed a special Letter of Intent to jointly combat illicit drugs and drug markets.
This special Letter of agreement was signed by the Minister of Justice and Security of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, D.M. Van Weel and Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa; the Minister for Foreign Affairs during the Ministers official visit to Ghana.
Building on the Accra Call to Action, the two countries hope to offer global leadership on that crucial matter (illicit drugs) which is destroying young lives, undermining public health, damaging the rule of law and terribly affecting human rights.
The move by the two countries strengthen confidence, genuine and reliable international collaboration in eliminating drug markets flooding the countries with cocaine, synthetics and criminal money.
