Staff at the GCB Bank Tamale Main Branch have donated essential medical equipment to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Tamale Teaching Hospital to enhance care for sick and premature infants.
The support was delivered through the bank's employee-led CSR initiative, the Staff Community Impact Programme (SCIP). The donated items include suction machines, pulse oximeters, oxygen flow meters, a vein finder, and other critical supplies designed to improve emergency newborn care.
With the NICU admitting roughly 700 infants between January and August this year, the new equipment will enable medical personnel to deliver faster, more effective interventions for vulnerable newborns.
