To commemorate its 50th Anniversary, the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) hosted a Health Walk and Fun Games on Wednesday, 12 August 2026.
The anniversary walk kicked off at Burma Camp’s Nicholson Stadium and concluded at the 48 Engineers Regiment Sports Complex in Teshie. Following the walk, attendees participated in various competitive games including football, volleyball, and tug-of-peace designed to foster physical wellness, healthy lifestyles, teamwork, and strong military camaraderie.
Addressing the participants, the Guest of Honour, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Joshua Lartei Mensah-Larkai, Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters, highlighted that GAFCSC’s half-century legacy reflects remarkable resilience, adaptability, and an enduring commitment to top-tier military training.
AVM Mensah-Larkai extended his warm congratulations to the Golden Jubilee graduating class. He encouraged the graduates to stay focused on equipping the Ghana Armed Forces, allied regional forces, and the broader African continent to tackle today’s unpredictable and complex security challenges.
Concluding his address, the Chief of Staff commended GAFCSC Commandant Major General Jackson Wonje and the event organizing committee for a successful anniversary celebration. He also expressed gratitude to corporate sponsors, partners, and media organizations for their support.
