The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced upcoming planned maintenance works in parts of the Volta Region to enhance service delivery. Customers in the affected areas are advised to prepare for a temporary power outage on Thursday, 16th July 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
According to the official notice, the maintenance exercise will impact the following locations: Kopeyia, Nak yikope, part of Akatsi Towns, Ave Towns, Dzodze, and surrounding communities. ECG stated that the works are necessary to improve the reliability and quality of electricity supply in the region.
Residents and businesses in these areas should take necessary precautions, such as charging electronic devices, securing perishable goods, and planning alternative power sources where possible during the eight-hour window. The company has assured that crews will work diligently to complete the maintenance and restore power as scheduled.
