Work on the reconstruction of the 80-kilometer Jinijini–Sampa road under the government’s Big Push initiative is advancing steadily, with overall physical progress currently estimated at 14 percent.
The two-year project, which officially began in January 2026, is targeted for completion by January 2028. Active site operations currently involve extensive earthworks, pavement construction, land clearing, scarification, compaction, road widening, and the installation of essential drainage systems and culverts.
During a working tour of the Bono Region, the Minister for Roads and Highways, Hon. Kwame Agbodza, visited the project site to assess progress. He praised the main contractor, Rango Construction Company Limited, for maintaining high standards of work and encouraged them to increase momentum to guarantee delivery within the stipulated timeframe.
