Battor Catholic Hospital is a popular 249-bed mission hospital located in Battor-Mepe, North Tongu District, Volta Region, Ghana. The Hospital is known for its continuous efforts and service to the people of Battor and its environs.
Renowned nationwide, it houses the premier Cervical Cancer Prevention and Training Centre (CCPTC) and provides comprehensive multidisciplinary care, including surgery, obstetrics, pediatrics, and radiology.
On Sunday 9th August 2026, the Hospital have launched its 70th anniversary celebration to mark its dedicated service for 70 years since 1956, which hosted the Minister for Foreign Affairs and MP for North Tongu; Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, other prominent political and traditional authorities.
The MP during the launch, announced that the Government of Ghana will assist the hospital with a modern expanded and equipped theatre befitting of the status of this great hospital which has saved thousands of lives within North Tongu and beyond.
He continued to make a donation of GHS100,000.00 towards the construction of a kindergarten by staff to help young parents with babies have their children receive care in the hospital as they focus on work.
The Battor communities celebrate the staff of Battor Catholic Hospital who have made the hospital renowned for excellent healthcare, particularly in obstetrics, gynecology, pediatrics, oncology and cervical cancer research and treatment.
