The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Anloga, Hon. Sandra Seyram Kpedor, alongside the District Director of Social Welfare, presented critical livelihood support items to 55 persons with disabilities (PWDs) across the district today, September 22, 2026. The targeted intervention is designed to alleviate financial burdens, enhance mobility, and equip beneficiaries with the practical resources needed to build sustainable livelihoods.
The support package featured a wide array of vital items and equipment tailored to individual needs. Among the distributed items were cash cheques, industrial sewing machines, deep freezers, crutches, wheelchairs, white canes, and hearing aids. By providing both income-generating assets and assistive tools, the initiative directly addresses the daily physical and economic barriers faced by PWDs, enabling them to launch small enterprises or expand existing businesses.
Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Hon. Sandra Seyram Kpedor reaffirmed the Assembly's dedication to building an inclusive society where no citizen is left behind. She emphasized that empowering persons with disabilities is essential to community progress and pledged that her administration will continue to roll out initiatives, create equal opportunities, and foster an environment where PWDs can participate meaningfully in the district's overall development.
