Sandra Seyram Kpedor, the District Chief Executive of Anlo, recently joined officers from the District Department of Agriculture on a tour of selected large-scale farms in the district. The visit gave the team a clear picture of how farming is going on the ground right now.
While moving from one farm to another, the DCE and her team took time to speak directly with the farmers. These conversations allowed them to hear about the daily experiences of the farmers and the challenges they face in their work.
As part of the same exercise, the team also visited selected beneficiaries of the government’s Nkokonkitinkiti Programme. The goal was to see how far the intervention has come and what difference it is making in the lives of those who received support.
The inspection offered useful firsthand information that will help the district better understand the needs of its farmers and the progress of ongoing agricultural programmes.
