The Akatsi North District Assembly, in a boost to local socio-economic inclusion has presented a total of GH¢420,000 in financial aid to 65 Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) across the district to improve their standard of living.
During the presentation on Monday, August 11, 2026, individual grants ranging from GH¢2,000 to GH¢8,000 were distributed according to each recipient's specific needs. The targeted assistance covers critical areas such as business seed capital, educational funding, medical expenses, and other vital interventions aimed at fostering long-term well-being.
Addressing the recipients, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Bless Kodjo Katamani, urged them to manage the funds prudently and strictly for their intended applications. He highlighted that the financial package is designed to serve as a stepping stone toward personal financial self-reliance.
