The Hohoe Municipal Education Director, Victor Kwaku Kove, has advocated for a major redistribution of teaching staff across schools in the municipality to address significant staffing disparities.
According to Mr. Kove, several schools located within the Hohoe township currently have an excess of teachers, whereas rural and outlying communities are facing severe staff shortages that undermine effective teaching and learning.
Addressing the issue during the official commissioning of a three-unit classroom block at the Gbi-Bla Byfire Community, the Education Director urged the Volta Regional Education Directorate to intervene promptly and resolve the uneven distribution.
In response, the Member of Parliament for Hohoe, Worlanyo Tsekpo, assured stakeholders that swift measures would be implemented to tackle the staffing deficit and ensure schools across the constituency are adequately resourced.
