Hon. Edem Agbana has revealed that he recently held fruitful discussions with Sharaf Mahama, Chief Executive Officer of Legacy Rise Sports, on the future of sports business and talent development in the Ketu North Constituency.
According to the MP, the meeting focused on forming strategic partnerships aimed at creating opportunities for young talents and building a strong sporting ecosystem within the constituency.
The Ketu North lawmaker emphasized that sports remains one of the key sectors capable of transforming lives and projecting the constituency onto the global stage. He noted that the planned collaborations would serve as a platform for identifying and nurturing world-class talents who can compete at the highest levels while also contributing to the socio-economic growth of the area.
Hon. Agbana further recounted how Sharaf Mahama became one of the earliest supporters of the famous Nukunu project when it was first launched. According to him, Sharaf immediately bought into the vision and demonstrated his commitment by inviting the Nukunu team to Accra for a friendly football encounter against his side at the Adjiringanor Astroturf.
The MP humorously disclosed that despite the Ketu North boys traveling to Accra and defeating Sharaf Mahama’s side in the match, the Legacy Rise Sports CEO still managed to steal the spotlight with what he described as an “absolute masterclass goal.”
The light-hearted recollection highlighted the strong bond and mutual respect that has since developed between both parties through sports.
Hon. Agbana concluded by stressing that the ultimate vision is to place Ketu North firmly on the map across all sectors of development, with sports playing a central role in that agenda. He expressed gratitude to God for the progress made so far and reaffirmed his commitment to creating more opportunities for the youth through meaningful partnerships and sustainable sports development initiatives.
