The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, joined hundreds of Muslim faithful, traditional authorities, and dignitaries at Kpenoe to commemorate the celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed (Maulid). The colorful and solemn gathering brought together diverse leaders to honor the life, teachings, and peaceful legacy of the Holy Prophet. Speaking at the event, Hon. James Gunu emphasized the importance of unity, religious tolerance, and collective effort in driving socio-economic growth across the region.
The celebration was highlighted by the presence of the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, whose participation underscored the spiritual significance of the gathering. Also in attendance were the Chief of Kpenoe, his council of elders, and prominent leaders representing various Muslim communities from across the Volta Region.
