Hon. Maxwell Kwame Lukutor Inspires Students as Special Guest of Honour at Winneba

The South Tongu Member of Parliament, Hon. Maxwell Kwame Lukutor, was honoured as the Special Guest of Honour at the Grand Durbar marking the week-long celebration of the Volta Region Students Association of Ghana (VORSA), University of Winneba Chapter.

Representing the Volta MPs Caucus in Parliament, Hon. Lukutor graced the event to demonstrate his personal commitment to the student body, drawing from his own roots as a former student leader. He previously served as a leader in both the Volta Region Students Association and the Tongu Students Union during his time at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).

In his address, the MP emphasized the unwavering support of the Volta MPs Caucus for students from the region. “I attended primarily to show my personal commitment as a former student leader of the group and also of the Tongu Students Union back in KNUST,” he stated. “Secondly, on behalf of my colleague MPs, to express our continuous commitment to supporting them in any form possible so they could go through school smoothly.”

Hon. Lukutor shared candid reflections on his journey, motivating the students with his story of resilience. He recounted his experiences as a struggling student who rose above challenges through determination and perseverance, eventually building a successful career and public service record. His message resonated deeply with the audience, highlighting that success is attainable regardless of one’s starting circumstances.

The MP concluded with a heartfelt prayer and charge to the students: “It’s my prayer that we persevere in every moment along the journey of life till we find fulfillment in this world.”

The event underscored the strong bond between Volta Region parliamentarians and the student community, reinforcing a shared vision of educational empowerment and youth development. Students and association leaders expressed appreciation for the MP’s presence and continued advocacy on their behalf.
