In a significant show of support for the youth in his constituency, Hon. Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu, Member of Parliament for Ho Central, has donated mathematical sets to all 3,500 BECE candidates in both public and private schools. The gesture, aimed at motivating the students as they prepare for their Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), has been met with appreciation from the students and school authorities. The donation is a testament to Hon. Kpotosu's commitment to education.

The Headmistress of Sodode Gborgame M/A JHS A, Madam Sylvia Venyo, expressed her gratitude, saying, “I am full of appreciation to the MP for equipping the BECE candidates to excel in their examinations for the betterment of their future and society.” Hon. Kpotosu, in his address, urged the students to take good care of themselves and make the most of the opportunity. “I want all the students preparing for the BECE to know that there’s someone thinking about them,” he said, adding that they should do independent work and avoid cheating.

The project, which cost One Hundred Thousand Ghana Cedis, was fully funded by the Office of the Member of Parliament. This gesture underscores Hon. Kpotosu’s dedication to supporting education in his constituency and Ghana as a whole. The donation has boosted the morale of the BECE candidates, who are now more confident about their performance in the examination.

The MP's initiative is expected to have a positive impact on the students' performance and reinforce the importance of education in the constituency. As the students prepare to take their exams, Hon. Kpotosu's gesture serves as a reminder of the value of support and encouragement in achieving academic success.
