Hon. Edem Agbana Announces Minimum 50% Tuition Scholarships for Fresh Medical Students from Constituency

Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, the Member of Parliament for Ketu North, has announced a targeted scholarship initiative designed to support freshly admitted medical students from his constituency. Under this new scheme, eligible constituents who have secured admissions as regular students into any public university in Ghana to study medicine will receive financial assistance covering at least 50% of their tuition fees. The initiative forms part of the lawmaker’s broader commitment to reducing the financial burden on families and investing in human capital, particularly within critical sectors like healthcare.

​To qualify for this educational support, applicants must satisfy specific criteria: they must be native constituents of Ketu North, have gained fresh admission into a public university in Ghana for a medical program, and be enrolled through the regular admission stream rather than private or fee-paying tracks. By prioritizing medical education, the MP aims to empower young scholars to excel academically while building a stronger pipeline of healthcare professionals who can contribute to community and national development in the future.
