The Member of Parliament for Keta Municipal Hon Dzudzorli Gakpey, as part of his continued commitment to improving education and supporting the development of young people, have released GH₵30,000 to the Keta Municipal Education Directorate to support preparations for the upcoming Basic Inter-District Competition and the maintenance of vehicles used by the Directorate.
The MP have also facilitated provision of 20 mattresses through NADMO to support the accommodation needs of athletes and officials participating in the competition. This is a move to ease the accommodation challenges of the young athletes that will be represent the district in the tournament.
The MP’s gesture is aimed at giving fair room and opportunity to young people to discover, develop and demonstrate their talents. Beyond supporting the competition, maintaining the Directorate’s vehicles will also enhance mobility for effective monitoring and supervision of schools across the municipality.
As education and youth development remain important priorities, Hon Gakpey is prepared to continue to support initiatives that create opportunities for children and strengthen education delivery in the Keta Constituency and Ghana at large
