2 min read

The Member of Parliament for the Keta Constituency, Hon. Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, alongside the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Keta, officially handed over and commissioned a newly constructed kindergarten classroom facility at Anlo State School. The event marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts by local leaders to upgrade educational infrastructure across the municipality and provide early learners with a secure, conducive environment for foundational education.

Speaking at the ceremony, Hon. Dzudzorli Gakpey reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to prioritising quality basic education within the constituency. He highlighted the importance of establishing modern early childhood development facilities, noting that investing in safe, well-equipped classrooms during children's formative years sets a strong foundation for their long-term academic success and personal growth.

The Keta MCE commended the collaboration between local authorities, educational stakeholders, and the community in bringing the project to fruition. The new classroom block is designed to alleviate overcrowding, eliminate open-air or dilapidated study conditions, and equip young learners with modern amenities tailored to early learning needs.

Traditional leaders, school management, teachers, and parents gathered to witness the ceremony and expressed deep gratitude to the MP and the Assembly for their dedicated support. School authorities pledged to properly maintain the new facilities to ensure that generations of kindergarten pupils in Keta continue to benefit from an enhanced learning environment.
