1 min read

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has launched an expanded public awareness campaign across Kwahu communities, with operational teams from the Nkawkaw and Aduamoa Fire Stations leading efforts to educate locals on emergency response, fire prevention, and road safety.

Speaking on Agoo FM 96.9, the Nkawkaw Municipal Fire Commander, DO I Samuel Mante, outlined the primary causes of domestic fires and vehicular accidents. He urged listeners to adopt proactive safety habits and highlighted why early emergency reporting is crucial to minimizing damage and saving lives.

Concurrently, officers from the Aduamoa Fire Station visited Kwahu Tafo Zongo to engage residents and business owners directly. The outreach focused on vital safety protocols, including mitigating electrical hazards, avoiding overloaded power outlets, safely storing flammable substances, maintaining clear escape routes, and operating fire extinguishers. GNFS officials advised the public to prioritize immediate evacuation during emergencies and contact fire services without delay.
