JUST IN:Ministry Cautions Public Against Fraudulent CSSPS Placement Slips

1 min read
Hon. Haruna Idrisu (Minister for Education)

The Ministry of Education has alerted parents, guardians, and students to beware of fake and altered Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) slips currently circulating on social media.

This warning comes after the Ministry detected attempts by bad actors to edit placement documents and post them online to falsely claim that official student placement results had been modified.

In a official statement released on Wednesday, September 9, Press Secretary Hashmin Mohammed dismissed these online claims as false and misleading. He advised the public to disregard unverified placement documents on social platforms and rely solely on official sources.

An internal review by the Ministry showed that several of the slips shared online do not match official records in the CSSPS database. Officials specifically pointed out severe inconsistencies with the barcodes and QR codes printed on the forged documents, noting that scanning them reveals details that contradict the printed text on the slips.
