Dabala Senior High Technical School (DASTECH) has achieved a major academic milestone by qualifying for the National Science & Maths Quiz (NSMQ) National Championship for the first time in the school's history.
Located in the South Tongu District, the technical school earned a wildcard entry after finishing as one of the highest-scoring runners-up in the Volta Regional Qualifiers, posting an impressive 41 points in a closely fought contest against regional powerhouse Kpando SHS.
The accomplishment represents a massive leap forward for DASTECH, a school that managed only 9 points in 2021 and 4 points in 2023. This year, they join 173 other schools on the national stage as one of just 10 debutants.
