Breaking: fire outbreak at Akwatialine in Kumasi, tens of shops razed down

An inferno at the Akwatialine in Kumasi has destroyed tens of shops containing various wares. The cost of the products in the are estimated to be in hundreds of thousands of Ghana Cedi.

The inferno, which reportedly started in one of the shops, in a matter of minutes spread to other shops and engulfed area. Residents have called in the fire service who are currently battling the conflagration.
