2 min read

Youth and Development Chief Akonta Felix Akakpo, Torgbui Tenuvi II, has announced a comprehensive 5-Year Educational Development Plan aimed at transforming learning opportunities across the Aflao Traditional Area. In a powerful statement reflecting deep commitment to progress, the Chief pledged unwavering allegiance to the President of the Aflao Traditional Council, Torgbuiga Adzonugaga Amenya Fiti V. Emphasizing the critical importance of strategic planning, he highlighted the urgent need to strengthen educational infrastructure and accelerate human capital development through continuous learning for the benefit of current and future generations.

Five new basic schools will be established to ease pressure on existing facilities and deliver quality education closer to local communities. The proposed locations for these landmark projects are Apekotuime, Gakli, Wudoaba, Detokope, and Avoeme. This initiative forms a cornerstone of the development plan, addressing overcrowding while ensuring children in underserved areas gain better access to foundational education. The announcement signals a proactive approach to building a stronger educational foundation that aligns with the area's long-term aspirations.

Alongside the construction of new schools, authorities will pursue the gradual rehabilitation of educational facilities across other parts of the municipality. The vision is clear: existing schools will soon boast infrastructure that matches the high standards set by the new developments. This dual focus on expansion and renewal demonstrates a holistic strategy designed to uplift the entire educational landscape within the Aflao Traditional Area.

The Chief has called for unity among community members while urging the government to fulfill its responsibilities in nation building. He stressed that community development is a collective endeavor requiring collaboration between citizens and state institutions. This message of shared duty resonates strongly as stakeholders prepare to support the ambitious educational agenda.

With this forward-looking plan now underway, the Aflao Traditional Area positions itself as a beacon of progress in human capital investment. Under the leadership of Torgbui Tenuvi II and with the blessings of Torgbuiga Adzonugaga Amenya Fiti V, residents can look forward to a brighter future where quality education drives sustainable development and empowers the youth.
