2022 World Cup Play-offs: Dates for Ghana, Nigeria clash



CAF has officially released the dates for the final qualifiers for the World Cup 2022 in Qatar.

In Africa, five teams will book a tickets for the major tournament out of the ten teams that will compete at the play-offs.


Come next month, Ghana will host the Super Eagles for the first leg in a West African thrilling encounter before the second league comes off in Nigeria.

On Thursday, March 24, 2022 the first leg will be played at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium in the Central Region of Ghana before the second leg encounter kicks off on Sunday, March 27, 2022 in Abuja.


Ghana has competed at the World Cup in three consecutive times(2006, 2010 and 2014).

The Black Stars missed the last edition of the tournament held in Russia following a defeat to Egypt in the playoffs.
